Hey All,
first off i want to say cheers since i just registered :]
second, i was wondering how you can save your CFG through console commands, or at least how you can view your CFG in like a notepad or word processor so i can change it.
and third, i used to play W:ET a year back, but stopped and now came back, and i was wondering what is the difference between the mp40 and the thompson? from what i recall wasn't it something like the mp40 has a higher firing rate but is a tad weaker and the thompson has a slower rate of fire but is stronger... i think. Hah.
Again,
Cheers and GL!

You can configure your CFG in-game by going to Options -> Controls and after you change your controls they are automatically saved. Alternatively if you want to view your CFG within Notepad then go to your main disk drive, then Program Files -> Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory -> etpro (or another mod folder depending which one you are using) -> profiles -> then right click on your etconfig file and select Open with... after this you click on Notepad or whichever word processor you use.
Also I like to say that MP40 is my favourite but to be honest they are just as good as each other and as long as you're aiming in the right place then you can use them both to good effect.

Welcome to GamesTV!
In ET there is no difference between Thompson and MP40 as lynch says ^^
You can also 'dump' your config with /writeconfig name.cfg, it will save itself in the directory of the mod you're running on that moment

/writeconfig lol
/exec lol
/exec lol
It was in RTCW that Thompson and MP40 was different, not ET.
If you type /writeconfig autoexec in your console, then those settings you just saved will be automatically loaded up when you start ET.
