Warriors of Wolfenstein might have had a few lineup changes, but they started their life where everyone else does; the bottom. Cast your minds back to the Spring 2005 OpenCup and you'll remember WoW struggling to make their way into the playoffs in the sixth division. Skipping forward to the Fall 2005 OpenCup shows WoW winning the third division. Was this change purely down to new blood?
What about angelDust? While the name itself has been seen in many bright lights over the past two years, it was their most recent EuroCup XIII qualifer invite that stirred things a little. The current lineup has stormed this season's OpenCup and have already taken numerous high profile wins in various leagues and cups.
So here we are at the Spring 2006 OpenCup Gold Final. Both WoW and aD were qualifier-invited to this season's EuroCup and both teams lost 4-2 to their counterparts. Tonight might have the OC label but it'll certainly bring EC thrills.
